Dubuque Mulch Company offers natural hardwood mulch and color enhanced mulch. Mulch is a perfect solution to a wide variety of landscaping needs. It provides contrast in your landscape, works ideally for moisture retention and weed suppression, and decomposes over time to make an excellent soil amendment.

natural/non-dyed products

**Compost**
A mixture of decayed plants and other organic material perfect for gardening and enriching soil. Our compost supplier participates in the US Composting Council’s Seal of Testing Assurance Program on a prescribed basis, and relevant technical data sheets are available.

**Double Processed**
Premium hardwood mulch, aged to a natural dark brown color, and processed to 1 – 2 inches. A bark heavy product, our double processed mulch decomposes over time to make an excellent soil amendment. This is our most popular natural/non dyed product.

**Hardwood Chips**
Our chips are harvested from a variety of hardwood species and processed on –site at Midwest Hardwoods. The benefits of hardwood chips include, promoting soil fertility, weed suppression, and moisture retention. They are also a cost effective option for ground cover.

**Playground Material**
Our certified playground chips are wheelchair and impact test approved, and meet all ASTM specifications and standards. Playground chips are natural, clean, safe, and ideal for play areas, walking paths, and kennels.

**Black Mulch**
A finely ground wood fiber mulch, dyed with a nontoxic black coloring. Our black colored mulch decomposes slowly over time, and provides lasting color and contrast in your landscape.

**Brown Mulch**
A finely ground wood fiber mulch, dyed with a nontoxic natural brown coloring. Decomposes slowly and provides lasting color and contrast in your landscape.

**Chocolate Mulch**
A finely ground wood fiber mulch, dyed with a nontoxic natural dark brown coloring. Decomposes slowly and provides lasting color and contrast in your landscape. A landscapers preferred product and popular with the general public.

**Double Chocolate Mulch**
A finely ground bark heavy mulch, dyed with a nontoxic dark brown coloring. Our double chocolate decomposes over time to make an excellent soil amendment and provides lasting color and contrast in your landscape. Our most popular colored/dyed mulch and a landscapers preferred product.

**Gold Mulch**
A finely ground wood fiber mulch, dyed with a nontoxic vibrant gold coloring. Decomposes slowly and provides lasting color and contrast in your landscape.

**Red Mulch**
A finely ground wood fiber mulch, dyed with a nontoxic rich red coloring. Decomposes slowly and provides lasting color and contrast in your landscape.
